The following instructions and drivers have been provided with the intent to assist you with the process of installing your barcode scanner. The responsibility of getting your scanner working remains with the distributor or manufacturer of your device at all times.
Although it is our best intention to get your barcode scanner working, we do not guarantee the results or accept liability should you encounter any issue or damage as a result of following these instructions, or installing the provided drivers.
Should you encounter an issue, our support team will endeavour to resolve this for you. However, should we be unable to provide a resolution, further assistance remains the responsibility of the distributor or manufacturer of your device.
Prerequisites
Clubware supports barcode scanners connected to Windows operating systems only.
Installing drivers onto a Windows machine requires elevated permissions. If you are not permitted to run the driver, you will need to contact your IT support team or login to your Windows computer with a username that has Administrator rights.
Use case
To use your barcode scanner with Clubware, three tasks need to be completed:
- Install device drivers
- Configure your barcode scanner to be compatible with Clubware
- Install Clubware's middleware (Barcode installer)
These instructions provide the device drivers, instructions on how to install them, and the barcodes required to configure your barcode scanner to be compatible with Clubware.
Installing the barcode scanner drivers
The drivers provided should only be used as a secondary option to the drivers provided by your barcode scanner distributor or manufacturer.

Install the manufacturer's driver Alternatively, download the appropriate driver for your machine from this article. We have supplied the Motorola LS2208 barcode scanner driver for 32bit and 64bit processors:
Please ensure you download the correct version for your Windows operating system. If you're unsure which version you require, contact your IT support or Clubware support before installing. Tip: 64bit is recommended unless you are using an older computer. |

Configuring the barcode scanner
The following instructions configure your barcode scanner to work with Clubware.
Tip: If your barcode scanner is not unable to read the barcodes from the screen, print this article and scan from the printed version.

Plug your barcode scanner into your machine Note: Only one barcode scanner can be plugged into each machine. |

Set the scanner to factory defaults by scanning the following barcode:

Set the scanner to IBM Hand-Held Mode by scanning the following barcode:

Clubware recognizes non-alpha-numeric characters to signify the end of the barcode. Enable the CR/LF suffix by scanning the following barcodes in order:
