Use case
Term/Ongoing memberships enable gyms to charge a Member (upfront or via direct-debit instalments) for their gym Membership.
The Membership can either be:
- a Term membership (has an End date),
- an Ongoing membership (continues until the Member or the gym cancel the Membership), or
- an Ongoing membership with a Minimum-term (has an End date that represents the Minimum-term, but the Membership continues until the Member or the gym cancel the Membership).
Membership plans are the templates for all Memberships.
To sell any Membership to a Member, a Membership plan must first be created.
Each Membership plan has at least one Payment option associated with it.
Payment options determine how Members will pay for a Membership.
Multiple Payment options can be created for each Membership plan.
Membership plans are where you set:
- the name of the Membership
- a description of the Membership
- the Country the Membership will be made "Available for sale" in
- the Type of Membership (Visit passes, External payer memberships or standard Memberships)
- the number of Visits allowed (for Visit passes only)
- the Access level permitted with the Membership (Access control for gym entry)
- the Payment option (term/ongoing, direct debit/paid in full, length of term)
